Photo credit: Charles Ashurst, Castle View 2013 So I made made two found object sculptures or Assemblages if you will. With help of the OCC recycling center who allowed me to reclaim some items from there facilities.
My good friend Charles Ashurst, owner of Castle View was kind enough to take some pictures of them.
I will add them to the digital portfolio soon with their titles, year etc.

"Dark Eyes, Farewell (For Just Awhile)" Oil On Canvas 11" x 14"
I got a nice frame for this oil painting, I still need to put a proper backing on it and varnish this piece. It was painted with water soluble oils.
I titled it:"Dark Eyes, Farewell (For Just Awhile)" but I actually forgot the original title that came to me in a dream; from which I woke up around 3 am thinking what a great title. I quickly fell asleep and in my dream I got up to write it down. Upon waking I realized that I hadn't. It had something to do with the ocean...

This pair of Vans sneakers: 106 Vulcanized, were recently painted with red and blue tiger stripes using screen printing ink. They have a semi gloss appearance which I dig. I enjoyed painting them and would like to do more if any on is interested...or hell just DIY!!!
Well the new year has began and I have started by doing a graphite self portrait study. I used a regular old #2 pencil on some arches printmaking paper. I want to do another one using graphite powder which I forgot I had and lose the #2 pencil so i can get some darker values.
I started one of my brother too; I used the graphite powder on it, much richer. I'll post a better photo later as that is a crummy instagram pic.
