 Hola. I haven't done an update in awhile, I've been busy, so to make up for it...heres a post! I actually have a piece that is going to be in Cheer's; ISM's 10 year anniversary show which opens on July 7, 2012 in downtown Santa Ana at Fullerton's Grand Central. I actually can't wait to see the show because ISM has had some really good artist over the years. Also, i will have a print hanging at the OC Fair gallery which is open July 13-Aug 12 so go see it while you munch on deep-fried Oreos! This past weekend I attended a art seminar by Marshall Vandruff which was super informative and inspiring. I am going to two more of his seminars this weekend so check them out if you are in southern CA and are pursuing a creative lifestyle. The Guerilla flyer to that show is below...  So yesterday I went to Courbet Art Circle in Santa Ana; it was fun drawing from a live mode for a couple hours. Nice folks over there. Here are my sketches:      I also went to the Alex Chiu Opening at Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim. Some of Alex's work is really nice and some it felt rushed. There was a band who didn't grab my attention, but luckily down the street form that was a Dr. Sketchy's art show in a tiny gallery that had an oddly slanted ceiling. On the walls was a variety of beautiful sketch's done by a variety of talented people. Also some one was carrying a tiny handicapped looking cat with them. It had a tiny pink sweater on... |
